– Shake it out and re-spread it while still damp, so the filling redistributes before it sets.
– Dry it through before storing. A cotton fill put away damp will smell by the next season.
– Finger-press the ruffle back into shape while the set is damp and let it dry that way.
– Wash the pillowcases with the comforter if the shade needs to stay matched.
– Colour fastness meets national standards, but keep the first two washes within one shade family.
