Ramadan is the one season you cannot ship late. The date doesn’t move. Neither does the shelf date your buyer gives you.
2027 is tighter than usual. Ramadan starts on the evening of 7 February. First fast, 8 February. Eid al-Fitr around 9–10 March. And Chinese New Year falls on 6 February — our factories close for one to three weeks around it.
Same week. That’s the problem.
If your order is still on the floor in early February, it will not reach Dubai, Dammam or Felixstowe in time. Air freight doesn’t help when the factory gates are locked.
The dates that set your production plan
Retailers want stock two to three weeks before the first fast. Your real deadline is mid-January. Not February.
So work backwards.
| Stage | Typical lead time | Cut-off for Ramadan 2027 |
| Sampling and approval | 7 à 10 jours | Approve by end of October 2026 |
| Bulk production | 1–2 weeks pigment print; several weeks reactive | Start November, finish before mid-December for sea |
| Sea freight | 30 à 45 jours | Book early-to-mid December 2026 |
| Air freight | 15 à 20 jours | Ship early January 2027 |
| Exprimer | 7 à 10 jours | Samples and urgent top-ups only |
Carriers move dates. The rule doesn’t: the goods leave the factory before Chinese New Year.
Three occasions, three ranges
Ramadan buying isn’t one thing. It’s hosting, gifting, and contracts. Treat them separately.
Hosting
Iftar tables, guest rooms, majlis seating. Tablecloths, runners, napkins, bedding for spare rooms, cushion covers, curtains, light blankets. Warm colours. Deep tones. Texture over logos.
These get washed daily for a month. Easy-care cotton and linen blends hold up. That’s why we push them for this season.
Gifting
Robes, eye masks, blankets, baby bedding, small sets. Packaging does half the selling. A robe in a poly bag is stock. The same robe in a fabric bag with a printed sleeve is a gift.
Private label earns its keep here. Your logo. Your care label. Your box.
Hospitality and corporate
Hotels, serviced apartments, corporate Eid gifts. Bigger orders. More predictable. More reorder-driven. One pattern across rooms, plus a matching runner for F&B.
Keep the approved sample and the dye lot. The second order is where suppliers get careless.
What actually sells
Literie
Bamboo lyocell for humidity. Cool hand, silky drape, photographs like silk at a fraction of the price. Cotton sateen takes print and colour sharply. Stonewashed cotton comes out of the bag soft — useful when beds get remade twice a day. Linen for villas and coastal rooms.
Sizes are where orders break. Fitted depth. Pillowcase style. Duvet closure. Get a size set before bulk.
Table linens
The iftar table is the photo. Tablecloths, runners and napkins do the work. Cotton and linen-cotton drape well, dye well, and survive washing. 40 × 40 cm is a common napkin size. Custom sizes are routine.
Dark tones hide stains. Light tones shoot better. Most buyers take both.
Robes, cushions, curtains, blankets
Robes sell for gifting and hotel amenity. Cushions and curtains refresh a room without a renovation. Blankets for cool evenings and strong air conditioning. Eye masks are a cheap add-on that lifts the value of a gift set.
| Catégorie | Role in the season | What buyers specify |
| Literie | Guest rooms, gifting, hotels | Sizes, fabric, colour, packaging |
| Table linens | Iftar and suhoor tables | Shape and size, hem, colour, napkin size |
| Robes | Gifting, hospitality | Fabric, size range, embroidery, bag |
| Cushions and curtains | Home refresh | Size, colour, lining, header style |
| Blankets and eye masks | Gift sets | Fabric, size, gift packaging |
Colour, print, packaging
Deep green, ivory, sand, muted gold. Terracotta and olive work too. Warm indoor light is kind to these shades.
Prints: geometric repeats, arabesque, florals, subtle texture. Leave religious motifs out unless a client asks and understands the context.
Packaging isn’t decoration in this season. Fabric bags, rigid boxes, printed sleeves, tissue paper. Labels and packaging to your artwork. Pack by colour or by set, so your warehouse doesn’t have to.
MOQ, samples, custom work
100 pieces or sets per style. Low enough for a test. High enough to keep the unit price sensible.
Samples take 7–10 days. Swatches are free; sample sets carry a charge. Size, colour, embroidery, logo, care labels, packaging — all open.
| Customisation | What you can specify | Notes |
| Fabric and construction | Cotton, bamboo lyocell, linen, blends; 300T or 400T | Confirm the base before printing or dyeing |
| Tailles | Standard or custom, including fitted depth | Send a size set for approval |
| Couleur | Pantone reference or lab dip | Approve under daylight and store light |
| Image de marque | Embroidery, woven labels, packaging artwork | Artwork drafts are free |
| Conditionnement | Fabric bag, PVC bag, gift box, carton marks | Gift-ready packing available |
QC and compliance
We check from raw material to finished goods. Colourfastness to washing and rubbing. Shrinkage after wash. Seam strength. Trims and embroidery attachment. Label accuracy.
Pre-production sample. Mid-production check. Final inspection.
Destination labelling is your importer’s call. Tell us what the label must say.
Shipping cut-offs
| Méthode | Transit time | Best use |
| Sea freight | 30 à 45 jours | Bulk orders; book early-to-mid December |
| Air freight | 15 à 20 jours | Late colour additions and replenishment |
| Exprimer | 7 à 10 jours | Samples and small urgent top-ups |
One example. Stock on shelf by 15 January 2027. Sea freight leaves China around 1–10 December. Air freight, early January. Express, mid-January — and that assumes the factory is still open. It won’t be on 6 February.

Which fabrics work best?
