Four pieces make the set: a cutlery pouch, a napkin, a placemat and a table runner, all cut from the same linen weave and the same dye lot so the table matches rather than approximately matches. The pouch is the piece that earns its keep – the monogram or logo is embroidered rather than printed, so it survives the event and gets reused at home. Sizes are 5 x 10 in for the pouch, 16 x 16 in for the napkin, 20 x 14 in for the placemat and 14 x 57 in for the runner, and every one of them can be re-cut to a different dimension. Colour is dyed to your specification rather than picked from a stock card.
| Cutlery Pouch | 5 x 10 in | 12.7 x 25.4 cm | embroidered monogram or logo |
| Servet | 16 x 16 in | 40.6 x 40.6 cm |
| Placemat | 20 x 14 in | 50.8 x 35.6 cm |
| Table Runner | 14 x 57 in | 35.6 x 144.8 cm |
| Maten op maat | Any of the four pieces can be re-cut to a different dimension |
| Unit Package | 10 x 10 x 15 cm | 0.5 kg per item |
Planners buy it for the one-off occasion where renting costs more than buying – weddings, graduations, corporate dinners, where the kit is used once and then either taken home by guests or kept by the host. Australia, the United States, New Zealand and Canada are the largest markets for this set. Colour and dimensions are open to specification, and the four matched components are produced together rather than sourced from two suppliers in the week before a date.
– Machine wash at 30C or below on a gentle cycle. Linen takes heat badly on a first wash.
– Wash with similar colours for the first two cycles; linen can release a little loose dye.
– Skip bleach and optical brighteners. Both weaken the fibre and dull the shade.
– Tumble dry low, or line dry in the shade. High heat is what shrinks linen.
– Press while slightly damp for a crisp table; leave it unironed for a relaxed one.
– Iron the embroidery on the reverse, never directly on the stitched face.
– Fabric softener is unnecessary and coats the fibre; a short wash does the job.
– Roll or fold flat between events rather than storing on a single hard crease.
– Sold as a single-use kit, but linen will take a full event and come back for another.
Orders start at 100 sets, and customization runs from a small size change to a full custom programme, including work from your drawing or from your sample. Production runs about 31 days for quantities up to 1,000; beyond that the schedule is agreed per order. Units pack at 10 x 10 x 15 cm and 0.5 kg, and a mixed order is produced on the same line as the rest of the table linen, so it ships as one consignment rather than being assembled from two suppliers. The factory was established in 2018 and runs to 3,400 m2 with 57 staff.
