Washing & Care Tips for Linen Skill Napkins

Keep your linen skill napkins looking pristine with these care guidelines:

1. First – Use Prep

Give them a gentle cold – water rinse before initial use. This removes residual sizing agents and excess dyes, softening the linen for future use and reducing early – stage fading risks.

2. Detergent & Bleach Rules

Skip chlorine bleach (harms natural fibers).
No fabric softeners needed—linen stays naturally soft!
Choose a mild, plant – based detergent to protect the flax fibers.

3. Washing & Drying

Wash in cool water (room temperature is ideal). Avoid hot soaks, aggressive scrubbing (even by hand), or harsh dry – cleaning.
After washing, air – dry in a shaded, well – ventilated area—direct sunlight can fade colors.
For machines: Skip shake – drying. If using a dryer, set to low – heat (below 30°C). High temps damage fibers and warp shape.

4. Drying & Storage

Lay flat to dry—never pull or stretch wet linen (it loses shape!).
Store folded neatly in a dark, low – humidity, airy space to prevent mildew and creasing.

5. Handling

Avoid hanging on sharp hooks/edges—linen gets heavier when wet (thanks to natural absorbency) and may snag.
