Bamboo Fiber Washing Instructions

Keep your bamboo fiber items soft, durable, and vibrant with these easy care steps:

1. First Use Prep

Give the product a gentle rinse with clean water before using it for the first time. This step removes any leftover sizing and excess dye from production, making the fabric softer to the touch and less likely to fade over time.

2. Detergent & Bleach Tips

Never use chlorine bleach—it can damage the bamboo fiber’s structure. Fabric softener isn’t needed either, as the material has natural softness. Choose a mild detergent to clean effectively without harming the fabric.

3. Washing Guidelines

Wash only with room-temperature water. Avoid high-temperature soaking, dry cleaning, and machine spin-dry cycles. When hand washing, don’t scrub vigorously back and forth. After washing, air-dry in a well-ventilated area—keep it away from direct sunlight. Iron on a low heat setting if desired. If using a dryer, set the temperature to 30°C or below; high heat will break down the fabric and cause deformation.

4. Drying & Storage

Lay the item flat to dry—never over-stretch it while damp, as this leads to permanent shape loss. Once fully dry, fold it neatly and store in a dark, low-humidity, and well-ventilated space. This preserves the fabric’s quality and prevents mold or mildew.

5. Daily Handling

Avoid hanging bamboo fiber items on sharp hooks or edges. The fabric has excellent water absorption, so it becomes heavier when wet. Its natural drape also makes it prone to snagging on sharp surfaces—handle with care to avoid tears.
