2. Detergent Dos and Don’ts

Never use chlorine bleach on cotton pajamas—it can damage the fabric irreparably. Fabric softener is unnecessary too. Opt for a mild detergent instead, as it’s gentle on cotton’s natural fibers and helps maintain the pajamas’ quality.

3. Washing & Drying Basics

Wash cotton pajamas in room-temperature water. Avoid soaking them in hot water, using improper dry-cleaning methods, or scrubbing vigorously when hand-washing. Skip the spin-dry setting if using a washing machine. After washing, air-dry in a breezy, well-ventilated area—keep them out of direct sunlight. Use a low heat setting if ironing is needed. For dryers, set the temperature below 30°C; high heat can break down cotton fibers and stretch the pajamas out of shape.
