Bamboo Fiber Washing Instructions

Follow these simple care steps to keep your bamboo fiber items in great condition:

1. Pre-Use Rinse

Give your new bamboo fiber product a gentle rinse before the first use. This washes away any residual sizing and excess dye from the production process, making the fabric softer for everyday use and helping it retain its color longer.

2. Detergent & Bleach Guidelines

Skip chlorine bleach entirely—it can damage the bamboo fiber structure. Fabric softener isn’t necessary either, as the material has natural softness. Opt for a mild, gentle detergent to clean effectively while preserving the fabric’s quality.

3. Washing Tips

Wash in room-temperature water only. Avoid high-temperature soaking, dry cleaning, and machine spin-dry cycles. When hand washing, don’t scrub vigorously back and forth. After washing, hang the item in a well-ventilated area to air dry—keep it out of direct sunlight. Iron on a low heat setting if needed. If using a dryer, set the temperature to no more than 30°C; high heat will break down the fabric and cause deformation.

4. Drying & Storage

Always lay the item flat to dry. Never over-stretch it while damp, as this leads to permanent deformation. Once dry, fold it neatly for storage. Choose a dark, low-humidity, and well-ventilated space to keep the fabric in top shape.

5. Daily Care Reminder

Avoid hanging bamboo fiber items on sharp hooks or edges. The fabric has excellent water absorption, so it becomes heavier when wet. Its natural drape also means it’s more prone to snagging on sharp surfaces—handle with care to prevent tears.
